Our Mission
To rethink the way clothing moves through the world by collecting, redistributing, and reimagining it with purpose. Through community-powered donations and accessible pricing, we’re building a more thoughtful, sustainable, and stylish future—one garment at a time.

Who We Are
The Rewind Foundation was created with one simple belief: everything deserves a second chance — humans, animals, and even clothing. That belief inspired us to open our nonprofit thrift store, a sustainable space where recycled fashion helps fund real change.
Running an animal-welfare mission is expensive, and we knew we needed a way to support the work we care so deeply about. That’s why we built Rewind: every purchase, donation, and recycled item helps us partner with Houston’s hardest-working animal shelters, including Rescued Pet Movement and BARC. Together, we help pull animals from tough situations, reduce euthanasia, and give dogs and cats the fresh start they deserve.
Our dream is to grow Rewind into something even bigger. With community support, we hope to open our own cat and dog café, a safe and happy rescue space where adoptable animals can find their forever homes while staying off the streets and out of harm’s way.
Thank you for supporting our mission. Every thrifted item truly saves lives. 🖤
What We Do
Fast fashion creates waste - 92 million tons every year! And most people don’t realize how much fabric ends up in landfills.
At Rewind Ave, we’re changing that.

✔ Repurposing & Recycling – We use a fabric shredding machine to turn discarded textiles into pillows, stuffed animals, and upcycled products, keeping them out of landfills.
✔ Educating & Empowering – We teach people how to resell, upcycle, and build businesses using secondhand goods.
✔ Creating Sustainable Fashion Solutions – By giving clothes and textiles new life, we help reduce waste and promote a circular economy.

Why It Matters
Every year, clothing gets thrown away because people don’t know how to recycle or repurpose them, or worse - companies trying to turn a profit willingly cause waste which harms our environment and society (read more about it here).
